Dolphin Racer Speedboat

Dolphin Racer Speedboat

Have you ever wanted to take an exhilarating wild dolphin tour? I mean who wouldn’t right? I know we had been wanting to for awhile and we finally got our chance with the Go Orlando Go Pass. While we were in Florida we got the chance to visit Starlite  Cruises and ride on the super cool yellow speedboat known as the Dolphin Racer!

This trip was part of the Go Orlando Go pass and included a high-speed tour that lasted about 1an hour and a half. Captain Dalton starts off the tour with a brief narration of the rules and what to expect to see. They tell you that dolphin sighting is guaranteed if not you will get tickets for a free tour. Once all the introductions and rules are out of the way you are ready to begin a breathtaking speedboat adventure as you being your search for dolphins.

Since you are riding on a speedboat be prepared to get soaked especially if it’s a windy day like the day we went. Despite the salty feeling on your skin it is so worth the ride. The kids had a blast riding on the boat getting wet and speeding in ocean looking for dolphins. We also learned that the huge waves created by the Dolphin Racer attracts jumping dolphins. The more waves the higher your chances are of seeing dolphins.

In our experience the Dolphin Racer Speedboat was the best dolphin interaction trip ever! It’s totally amazing when you finally do get the chance to see a group of beautiful dolphins racing along on the big, yellow speedboat.  This experience was truly a full-on sighting of dolphins in leaping in the waves and in the jumping up into the air. All through the tour Captain Dalton shared many interesting facts and funny stories. We also learned about water laws. I had no idea they had so many water laws. It was very informative. to say the least. The day we visited it was a beautifully, perfect day to be on the bay,we really enjoyed the views including the waterfront properties.

They have tours daily at 1:30 so we arrived at 1:00. We were happy that Starlite Cruises had free parking. However, I will say that before you arrive make sure you go to the restroom because there are no bathrooms until you board the speedboat. I will be honest when I first heard “speedboat” I pictured a small boat however, I was very wrong. The Dolphin Speedboat Racer boat is actually really  large  and in good, clean, comfortable condition.

It’s sure to be an adventure you will remember for a lifetime. Don’t forget to bring your camera.

  33. What a beautiful experience! I have had the amazing opportunity to be on a boat when dolphins decided to surround it and play along side it while I was in Peru. The captain saw then and left the other group of boats which was heading to the shore and we were the only ones to experience these magnificent sea creatures.
