Five Hotel Amenities You Need to Look for When Traveling with Kids

When you plan a vacation with children, you want to make sure that everyone has a great time, and there is something to do every day. Safety is also an important consideration. Young parents often find it hard to relax and look after toddlers at the same time. If you would like to plan your perfect family vacation on the beach, read which amenities you will need to search for when booking your hotel.

1. Kids’ Club

If you would like to have a romantic lunch together while visiting your dream destination, you need to look for a resort that has its own kids’ club. All inclusive deals often come with a free kids’ club offer, however, you will need to get in touch with the resort to find out when the service is available, and whether there are registered childcare providers working on site. Your child’s safety should be your first priority, therefore, you need to make sure staff can keep them out of trouble.

2. Children’s Pool

Most toddlers love the water. To make sure they are safe, look for a hotel that has a supervised children’s pool with lifeguard. You might want to enjoy an afternoon session of sunbathing, and not worry about what your little ones are up to in the water. Most family vacation resorts have a supervised on site indoor or outdoor pool with all the safe toys kids can wish for. If you allow your children to use the slides, make sure that they are supervised all the time.

3. Free Internet

Most kids live on their tablet and love watching videos online these days. You don’t want your family vacation to be ruined by the lack of internet access. You also want to void spending your days in restaurants and bars just to get your kids online. Call the hotel and ask them whether all rooms and public areas have fast WiFi, and whether this is included in the price you pay. It is better to be safe and keep kids busy than listening to them complain about the slow internet.

4. Satellite TV

At night, when you are trying to get yourself organized for the next day’s adventure, you don’t want to deal with bored kids. If your kids usually watch TV before they go to bed, they will be disappointed if they cannot find their favorite programs at night. Most family resorts have satellite TV, but some of them make you pay for premium channels. Get on the phone with the reception to avoid disappointment before you book your vacation.

5. On Site Doctor

Most luxury family resorts, such as the Wichita Marriott have great offers on all inclusive deals, such as access to fitness and wellness facilities. Make sure that you check if there is a medical service offered at the hotel, so you can get in touch with a professional if something goes wrong or your little one gets into trouble.

Traveling with kids generally requires a lot of planning. Look out for the above facilities, and you can enjoy your getaway and keep children entertained at the same time.
